Bob Ferguson, Manager of GEM Quarries
Well known for his experience in the quarrying industry throughout Western Victoria and South East South Australia, Bob has brought a wealth of knowledge and professionalism to the GEM Group as Quarry Manager of Moree Quarries Pty Ltd and Manager of GEM Quarries. Holding the appropriate Manager and Blasting licences and with his ongoing implementation of regulations involved in the quarrying industry and the liaising with government departments reassuring compliance with the relevant legislation, the safety of employees and customers is a priority. His commitment and experience also ensures GEM quarries maintain a high quality product to meet specification and client needs.
Adam Maywald - Engineering Manager (B. Eng (Hons) Civil & Environmental, GradIEAust)
A civil and environmental engineer, Adam has project managed the implementation of major civil and infrastructure works in a diverse range of fields, drawing on his knowledge of civil, geotechnical, water, wastewater and coastal engineering to provide the best practice project management techniques. Further, he has been involved in the detailed design, drawing and execution of varied major and minor civil works involving water, wastewater and environmental engineering. Additionally his environmental engineering background gives clients a unique resource to draw on and the ability to undertake projects in a sustainable manner.
Conor Dunne - Project Engineer (BSc (Hons) Construction Technology & Mgt)
Conor is experienced in managing both large and small scale projects for both private and public clients. He draws from his experience from infrastructure to residential projects both in Australia and also overseas. With an understanding for the management of plant and personnel, he has an appreciation of client’s requirements and expectations while ensuring works are always completed to the highest standards. He is also involved in the tendering side of the works and ensuring that projects are complete within budget and timeline.
Colin Cram, Manager Gambier Stone Supplies Pty Ltd
With extensive involvement in the Mount Gambier Limestone industry over many years, Colin brings to Gambier Stone Supplies a wealth of experience and knowledge, which is invaluable to the client and our company. Overseeing an experienced sales and quarry personnel team, his commitment and passion to the industry ensures that Gambier Stone Supplies will continue to provide and meet the clients’ needs with quality service and a quality limestone product within today’s ever changing industry requirements.
Glen Sutherland, Works Supervisor
Works Supervisor of both major and minor civil projects, Glen has managed the implementation of works ranging from local dairy upgrades to major roads and shopping complexes. Further, Glen has filled many other roles in the company including truck driver, plant operator, and has developed a complete understanding of mobile crushing operations both in limestone and hardrock quarrying. With this wide range of experience he has developed a broad but unique understanding of civil, earthmoving and project logistics.
Michael Jolley, Logistics Manager
Logistics Manager, Michael has a strong background in GEM Operations including previous roles in accounts, purchasing and logistics. Developed necessary skills needed to control and organise GEM’s large trucking fleet. Specializing in heavy movement/ freight delivery and plant hire puts Michael into one of those special category of people that keeps things moving smoothly with a strong focus on meeting the needs of clients/or potential clients.
